Drought Assessment and Baseline Survey in South West state of Somalia. For purpose of good planning, adequate and up to date information about state of food security and livelihoods, health, nutrition and WASH is required in the target areas. The purpose of the baseline survey was therefore to carry out a situation analysis and to set benchmarks for the list of indicators ahead of the implementation of integrated project.

Capacity building and training for 10 partners and local network. (Gargaar Rehabilitation and Development Organization) conducted capacity building training on Organizational Development for 20 participants from ten organizations in the South-West Somalia Local Implementing Partners and Local Network.  These are DEDO, SIHDO, SBLO, SSSU, G.Walala, BWDO, BWAN, SWESC, KAHRO, SWDHRN from Baidoa. The objective of the training is to improve the capacity of 10 Partners and Local Networks based in South-West, train the CSOs on four topics among organizational development contents in order to improve managerial and leadership skills.

REACT Sub-Saharan Africa (REACT SSA) is Swedish International Development Authority (SIDA) to support renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a dedicated funding of US$ 8.5 million for Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Somaliland. The programme seeks to reduce poverty through a transformational increase in the use of renewable energy by off-grid households in the FGS. Its outcome will be private sector investment and innovation in low cost clean energy and climate change catalysed at scale. Business Assessment and review to pre-selected 8 Somali businesses carried out by Smart Vision in Mugadishu and Biadoa Batch 3

A WASH assessment was carried in schools from 13 regions of Somalia in December 2021. The objective was to undertake a formal assessment to establish the current school WASH situation
and gaps in schools within SCI intervention areas, and that will be used to develop school WASH approaches and strategy. Additionally, the assessment was to generate quantitative and qualitative evidence about the outcomes of current WASH in schools and assess the underlying factors that have influenced sustainability. Data was collected using school checklist; observation form; individual and focus group discussions with pupils; and key informant interviews with school head teachers.

Third part monitoring FFO Nexus project. The program will be utilized to implement humanitarian priorities to ensure crisis affected children have access to timely and adequate health, nutrition, WASH and child protection services and their families
can meet their basic food and non-food needs in times of crisis by focusing on the following sectors and interventions. The proposed approach provides an excellent opportunity for humanitarian funding mechanisms to complement ongoing, long-term, development initiatives in Somalia.
